This will be a big week-end at Furman with the inauguration of the new president, Dr. Smolla. Carol and I are going for the Book Event. We hope that there will be those who are interested in books and especially, Christian Civility in an Uncivil World. If any Episcopalians wander by, Bishop Stacy Sauls, a Furman graduate, contributed a wonderful chapter, “What We Need Is More Maturity.” He is the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky. He has spoken at Furman before. Come by and chat whether you are looking for a book or not. It is always good to see Furman people.
